The
Benton Fire Department has as its central mission the preservation of life
and property through the prevention or abatement of all hazards to life
safety from fires or similar emergencies. The Fire Department is comprised
of three main functional divisions:
- Fire Suppression- responds to fires and other emergencies, providing
Benton residents and businesses with 24 hour protection.
- Fire Prevention-is responsible for ensuring that all occupancies
within the City of Benton meet the State Fire Code and for educating the
general public on fire prevention.
- First Responder- The Benton Fire Department serves as the First
Responder for emergency medical care in the Community. The Department
has personnel trained as Emergency Medical Technicians. Service is
provided on a twenty-four hour a day seven days a week basis.
Other services provided include but are not limited to water rescue,
vehicle extrication and hazardous material incident mitigation.
