Residents and
visitors:
It has often been said that "home is where the heart is." There is
no place that this applies more than here in Benton, Arkansas.
We have always been known as the heart of Arkansas because we are the
geographical center of the state, but it means much more than that.
Heart is a place to hold near and dear to your soul, a place to raise your
family, a place of harbor and peace.
There are so many attractive features of our city, it would be impossible
to list them all. Just to name a few, Interstate 30 runs through our
city limits for easy access for businesses and commuters; we have great
schools, beautiful affordable housing, good recreational facilities for
adults and children and outstanding fire and police protection.
The City of Benton has a small town atmosphere, but is only minutes away
from Little Rock, the capital of Arkansas, and Hot Springs, the first
National Park. So many local events are held in our community.
You can always find something to do whether it's going to a Friday night
football game, attending Old Fashion Day on the courthouse square,
enjoying an outdoor concert at the amphitheater or taking a scenic canoe
trip down the historical Saline River.
I was asked just the other day, "Have you lived in Benton all of your
life?" My reply was, "Not yet, but I fully intend to." We have
a great place to live and raise a family. Come join us.
Sincerely,

Rick Holland
Mayor, City of Benton
