 SCADA System
 Recently,
a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA system) was
installed and implemented, this is a computer based automated control
system that monitors and controls the current of electricity through
lines. The SCADA system aids the linemen when out on an outage to locate
the problem which can help to get the power back on faster. While this not
only improves power outage response time, it also provide a safer
environment for the linemen by giving them remote access to different
parts of the system.
Dan Smith, SCADA Technician/Meter Relay, is monitoring the SCADA System in
his office.
