General Manager
Terry McKinney
The
Benton Utilities General Manager’s office provides overall management and
coordination under the direction of the Benton Utilities Commission to
efficiently manage all Benton Utilities departments which include water
distribution, water purification, electric, wastewater collections,
wastewater treatment, purchasing, billing services, engineering, human
resources and administrative services developing a strategy to establish
and maintain a plan to meet current needs as well as address the future
demands due to the City of Benton’s projected growth.
Terry McKinney joined Benton Utilities as General Manager on October 24,
2005. He comes to Benton with a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience
in the management and operation of Municipal Utilities. He is a graduate
of Purdue University with a degree in engineering. He has over 34 years
experience in the utility business
The Benton Utilities Commission hired Mr. McKinney because of his in depth
experience in electrical, water and sewer. His responsibilities at Benton
Utilities are to oversee the day to day operations as well as plan for the
future in all utilities departments. |

Serving Benton Utilities as Mr.
McKinney’s Administrative Assistant since January 2006 is Madeline
Wilson. She provides a great deal of assistance in all of the daily
duties from maintaining an employee attendance record for all employees
to attending meetings taking minutes. |
